Does teeth whitening damage teeth and will my teeth be sensitive?
No, when done correctly, teeth whitening does not damage your teeth!
You may have some sensitivity afterwards - this varies depending on the patient. Our office is careful to cover all exposed tissue in your mouth to prevent the whitening gel from getting on your gums and causing excess sensitivity. We also recommend using desensitizing toothpaste while going through the whitening process to minimize sensitivity. Our office can also provide a special gel to use at home for patients with sensitivity.
